William was born on December 3rd, 1638.  William's father was Robert Overton and his mother was Ann Gardiner.  His paternal grandparents were John Overton and Joananne Palmer; his maternal gran?parents were Jeremy Gardiner and Mrs. Jeremy Gardiner.  He died at the age of 59 in 1697.
